Flow

Glimmering water under moonlight's glow

the banks are shrouded in coats of snow,

they shudder when the water breaks

and onward a boat whose waves does make

with a silent ripple left in her wake.

Her tail bends, but does not tow

for she is alone as she rows

onward and forward, through highs and lows

the river deciding where she goes.

Onward and foward the river flows.

Rocks, eddies, sweepers unseen,

experience waiting to be gleaned.

Much left to learn, much she does not know

but day by day she continues to grow,

under the spotlight of moonshine's glow

she is a star, her own hero

yet still a babe in utero.

Onward and forward she must go,

Onward, onward the river flows.
