"Killed by the mountains" . But no. the mountains did not kill, nor can they. They are impassive, inscrutable, eternal. They care not at all for the efforts of mortals, no more than the snows care for the bones of those hidden forever beneath them. Man comes and man goes, but the snows abide and cover all. Silent. Impassive. enduring.
